Minus all the talk of race.......is the rap music genre "crud"?

My 2 cents:

There is alot going on in "rap" culture that the public doesn't know about. And none of it is good.

 

I never did listen to that garbage, and I never let my son or daughter listen to it when they was growing up!

Wow! . . A song talking about chopping up his wife.

Its a shame that they make millions of dollars singing songs like that!

 

To me, the real shame is that there is a market for it. Coupled with the fact that the market is big enough to make them rich.

Doesn't say much for our country.

Rap is complete garbage, but it's subject matter is so foreign to anything my daughters will ever experience I don't worry about it influencing much. Lady Gaga and other pop crap is more likely than rap to corrupt their way of thinking.

 

This is the only rap song I ever liked, geared for country folks, definitely for hicks.

 

I can't believe anyone would admit to listening to this.

I hate rap, my family hates rap, and my friends hate rap. To much stupidity for me to handle. Half of the time the lyrics dont even make sense. Thats why I listen to country and even country doesnt sound the same as it did 10 yrs ago. music is goin downhill in my opinion

I kinda find it funny that if you talk negative about country music these days, you get a lot of posters that take offense and tell you that radio country isn't "real" country, you have to look to find the good stuff, don't judge country music by the radio, etc, but everyone judges rap off radio rap without trying to find the good stuff.
