    Some hip-hop artists I enjoy that may still have some offensive lyrics, but not nearly as bad as what more main stream rappers say;
    Mos Def, Talib Kwali, Black Star, Jurassic 5, Common, The Roots, KRS1, Tribe Called Quest.

    Look at his life ... and what does being dead have to do with anything? Do you talk bad of Hitler? Bin Laden?

    Exactly ...

    Because we don't know either way. That comment stuck me as odd is all. It's really not the point of this thread, so I'm going to bow out on this one. We don't need to go down this rabbit hole again.

    That there is soooooo true... You see these women say stuff like "I wanna man who treats me right". It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that when you act and portray yourself as a Ho that no good man is going to what that!!!!!!

    I am not some kind of puritan and listen to some rap music on the radio. That being said I have started to scutinize the lyrics much more and in doing so I have come to the conclusion most of the songs and rappers are garbage. They should be ashamed of themselves including Eminem.....talking about chopping up his wife and putting her in a trunk. And now his most recent song like we should feel sorry for him....no

    Lil Wayne and all that other mainstream 'gangster' style rap is crap and takes no talent to produce or sing. On the other hand, I enjoy listening to the likes of A Tribe Called Quest and The Roots because their lyrics are more subdued and they are actually talented.

    Yep, no problems with those groups and I am not saying every rap group is terrible, but, on average, the genre is pathetic.

    I will disagree with part of this and saying lil wayne has some talent he doesn't write down anything to produce a song he freestyles everything he does.

    To me that's not a measure of talent, if his lyrics had some sense of intelligence to them, that would be a different story.

    Lil Wayne is trash, plain and simple. I am not talking about lyrical talent, I am talking about the measure of the man.

    One of Lil Wayne's wonderful quotes.....unreal.

    "We don't play. No, I'm not gonna rap about you man, I will murder you, your family, your child, a newborn, I don't give a f***. I could never go to hell cause I'ma take over, b***h"

    Rap glorifies things that shouldn't be glorified like shooting people and drugs. Rap was a better quality many years ago. Don't get me wrong, I think all music glorifies bad things like country glorifies alcohol .

    You're right...It goes Tupac, Hitler, than Bin Laden. Great comparison. To say somebody you know nothing about is in hell seems pretty judgmental for somebody so religious.

    Your coming across as extremely sensitive and argumentative for no reason. He used those other person's names because their deaths were debated. Get real man.

    For those of you who were truly wondering where he stood...Interesting man for sure. The red sea didn't part for him about 6 months later.
