Well but see all of the information is out about police complaints so I feel you have the right to make a decision one way or another about it. All of the information about the case isn't out yet.. so see the difference one facts are out the other not so much. So I feel I am able to make an assumption about one thing but not the other. Once all of the information is out about the shooting then go ahead. Go ahead and ask any police officer if they have had a complaint I bet the answer is yes The figures show that, of the 43 out of 52 forces which replied to FOI requests, 2,073 police officers were subject to three or more complaints Police given headcams as thousands of officers have complaints made against them In 2016, the police commissioner disciplined 525 officers On cases where the police commissioner made a final disciplinary decision in 2016, the disciplinary action rate was 82%. Of the more than 125,000 complaints filed against officers, nearly 90 percent of the allegations were determined to be false or lacking sufficient evidence Over 125K complaints against more than 25K Chicago cops Thousands of police were subject to multiple complaints last year by fed-up members of the public. The officers faced accusations of being rude, late or even committing assaults on three or more occasions, Freedom of Information requests revealed. It sure isn't an easy job, however you just can't blast people for nothing. For example I pulled a lady over the other day bc she had a felony warrant. She pulls into the convenience store parking lot and acts like she is gonna park, then punches it and drives around in a circle right back to the parking lot. Then she acts like she is gonna park again then quickly adjusts and slams on her brakes and begins to dig in her center console area. I draw down on her and she just whips the door open and starts emerging from the car. Things could have gotten bad there but I scanned her hands and knew she didn't have a weapon and no one else was in the car. Things like that happen fast and you better be ready. Turns out she was just hiding a crack pipe but when you lose site of someone's hands who is acting erratically then it causes concern. Not defending the cop at all in this shooting, I'm just giving an example. I don't know anything about the case other than some lady in pajamas was shot for no apparent reason. Just read online that authorities searched the woman's home. Not a real good PR move there. Trying to imply that she did something possibly to justify being shot by a cop from a car where both officers wearing body cams chose not to turn them on. I will admit that I am starting to think the Minneapolis police officers have a serious perception issue that goes way beyond the fired police chief and leftist mayor.
Read where the woman slapped the police car, which, from the inside probably sounded like a bullet hit it.
Unfortunately without the use of readily available body cams we will never really know for sure. It is interesting over last weekend a drunk driver fleeing police collided and impaled a city bus killing a passenger on the bus, all kinds of information was released about the driver his arrest record BAL etc, yet when one of Minneapolis's own is involved in a death of a member of the public Minneapolis police is very guarded about releasing any info about the incident.
