Looking to start going up every year to a cabin, it would be 3-4 guys, and looking to keep it around or under 150 bucks a night. I know about Clear Lake Resort, and its in contention, just want to look at other places that people have had good experiences with.

    Thanks
    Mike

I don't think there is any place that's good in MN. They all come here to WI. :)

Wrong. We come over for the cheep beer and property taxes.

Sad thing is in the last 25-30 years the small family resorts have disappeared in Minnesota.

    $150 per night per guest?

Might be over the budget but I will ALWAYS recommend Andersons Cove on Leech Lake. My best friends parents own the resort and I have been there many times... Top notch stay.

Do you need a resort for access to a boat and such?

If not and you have your own boat, I would look at homeaway.com or vrbo.com. Rent someones private home on a lake. Typically much nicer than a resort as its someones private home and unlees you need something real fancy, you can get it for much of the same price.

WiFi in the lodge. Cell service is generally good. Verizon is best. Sometimes signals get low inside some cabins, especially the log cabins.
