I got this buck in SE MN on Monday with my muzzleloader. Gross green score is 185.5, I was getting him on camera, but didn't ever think I'd get to see him while hunting, but I guess dreams do come true sometimes.
Thanks guys, even though I'm extremely excited I still can't help but think about not being able to find him last year, he was a lot bigger and a monster typical I think that would of grossed close to 200. But at the same time I'm kinda sad he won't be running around anymore, it sure was fun checking cams and trying to pinpoint him.
I didn't really believe it was him at first either, but he was the only deer of that size around, and after getting some better pics he has the same cuts in his ears. A neighbor has pics that they have been tracking him and believe he is 7 1/2
Nope. I live around east bethel. Stellar opening day of archery, took a monster doe with my 10 year old son. After that, it's been downhill on a razor. So far I have logged 124 hours on stand. Maybe seen a total of 10 deer since. A small flurry of chasing around Halloween with a 3 and 4 pointer. Since the opening of the gun season, I've seen nothing. 2 deer at dark the other night (in over a month of sitting)Put on lots of miles this year, stolen stand, camera and my kayak stolen. Still trying to fill another tag but it's been just a ****ty year for me. Last year was amazing. Not sure what the deal was this year but still hunting until December 31st. Good luck.
My season is pretty much toast as well. I had a great start of the 2017 season by doubling up on a pair of doe, then blew my engine in my truck derailing my October. I may try to squeeze out one more time, but I doubt it this year.
