anyone having bucks hitting minerals again yet? I was thinking about replenishing some of my sites as soon as our late season is over. I was wondering how early some of you guys get the minerals going?

Minerals are always good if they are legal.

The deer here haven't been hitting the mineral as far as I can tell.

I started early this year with 2 sites freshened up, and haven't had anything on them yet. I do get pics of deer all around them, just not eating at them. Usually I start in April, but wanted to try something different this year.

maybe i'll go in and check them. maybe put a camera on it to see. usually once they shed velvet they quickly abandon mine til spring. maybe I should start a site in the wintering grounds just to help them in the winter.

You could at least start one for the winter and put a camera on it. That way you will know if they will hit them during the hard winter. If not, then you know not to waste your time on it in the future.
