I'm not sure where you are seeing those numbers. Per their label: Salt 14%(min) to 17%(max) Sodium 10%(min) to 13%(max) Even at the Max of %30 sodium, that would be considered a low salt content compared to stock salt, trace minerals, deer cane and the likes.
Calcium is calcium Salt is salt Sodium is sodium They are not all "salt"... just because there is sodium in salt does not make ALL sodium salt, just isn't how it works What Is Sodium? Sodium is a chemical element. It is very reactive, so it isn't found free in nature. In fact, it undergoes spontaneous combustion in water, so while sodium is essential for human nutrition, you wouldn't want to eat pure sodium! When you ingest salt, the sodium and the chlorine ions in sodium chloride separate from each other, making the sodium available for your body to use. Sodium in the Body Sodium is used to transmit nerve impulses and is found in every cell of your body. The balance between sodium and other ions regulates the pressure of cells and is related to your blood pressure, too. How Much Sodium Is in Salt? Because sodium levels are so critical to so many chemical reactions in your body, the amount of sodium you eat or drink has important implications for your health. If you are trying to regulate or limit your intake of sodium, you need to realize the quantity of salt you eat is related to the amount of sodium, but is not the same. This is because salt contains both sodium and chlorine, so when salt dissociates into its ions, the mass is divided (not equally) between sodium and chlorine ions. Technically salt can be any ionic compound formed by reacting an acid and a base, but most of the time the word is used to refer to table salt, which is sodium chloride or NaCl. So, you know salt contains sodium, but the two chemicals aren't the same thing.
So then what are sodium and calcium in monster raxx combined with? Technically it would be called a salt, but i can see that the level of NaCl shouldnt be high, and then these percentages of sodium and calcium wouldn't count. I guess i was unclear on what they were referring to as salt Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Not sure I totally follow your question in bold..... Yes when referring to salt we are talking NaCl only. You will find many if not most products on the market are pushing 90%. This is what attracts the deer for those products, unfortunately, in turn leaving little room left for the stuff that the deer need.
Sodium is not Salt in any scientific analysis of ingredients this is true. Is sodium a part of Salt? Sure, but charcoal is an ingredient in gunpowder...but it itself is 0% like gunpowder.
You can over ingest anything. I only put out a ice cream bucket sized container once a month in March and April per site. This has worked for me over 15 years now. I don't find many dead deer either nor do I have problems seeing deer. The deer love Selenium 90 that is for sure. And it is a whole lot cheaper then the bags manufacturers claim are so healthy for whitetails.
There is hardly any vitamins way less than 1% calcium no phosphorous. That is like saying a Kia and a Caddilac are similar since they both use tires, brakes and have hoods.
They are both cars! I didn't say they were exact..... nor equal. But I looked on the bag of Selenium 90 that dbl lung mentioned and the MR ingredients and they have a lot of common ingredients I thought. MR has added things as vitamins, calcium, dried Molasses, etc which Selenium doesn't have like you said.
You have not seen the new adds for Kia? They have thrown their hat in the ring for an affordable luxury car.

If you want to hunt over it anyway Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
There is a small amount of dried molasses in it. I do leave it out for the MN guys that ask me too because I don't put it in the bags I use either.
Well I ordered 4 bags of Monster Raxx today so lets get off the computer and get that shipped to me! These big antlers aren't gonna grow without it! LOL I am looking forward to trying Monter Raxx on our Indiana property.
How can we let you know to leave it out? When is it ever to early in spring to put it out if our goal is antler growth? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Does leaving out the molasses affect how the deer use the product? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
