I couldnt decide what the best way to go for mineral licks(which one was better) so I went and bought different ones. I bought the Trophy Rock, Lucky Buck Mineral bucket, and a brown trace mineral block from a feed store. Just put em out and see which is best. Any more suggestions that I should have bought or should one of these do the trick?

I found a recipe online with 2 bags trace mineral salt, 1 bag of stock salt, and 1 part dicalcium phosphate. I mix it up in a 5 gallon bucket and mix it up with the soil and sat a mineral lick in the middle of it. The deer have been tearing it up so far.

I have always used the mineral block from a feed store. It works pretty good, they just seem to use it slowly. This year I have been using Deer Cane Black Magic. It is already made up and ready to use. I have found that it works amazingly. Once I start a site it takes less than 24 hrs for deer to be using it. I have deer using it everyday. I know have 4 total sites and couldnt be happier with the Deer Cane for $8.99.
