Five American soldiers lost their lives this weekend in Afghanistan. 1 was a Marine, 2 were Rangers and the other 2 were support with the Rangers. DOD notified the families they would not receive the $100,000 death gratuity that normally is dispersed within 36 hours. This money is to offset costs for travel to Dover to see their soldier arrive home to the states, and funeral costs and other travel expenses. Yet the government doles out $445 million to public broadcasting, and Congress and POTUS are getting paid? There is no one particular party responsible for this, both sides are acting like children not getting their way. But now you let it affect the families of those who gave the ultimate sacrificed? How dare you and shame on you to every politician out there allowing this crap to continue.

    This is crazy.

Always remembered. Semper Fi Brothers! Prayers always go out to the families of those who have fallen.

It's embarrassing that we let our country sink so low. It's hard for me to think of a more shameful leadership failure than this disgusting mess.

According to congressman duncan hunter from california, this was funded last month and passed the house, senate and signed by the president.

Olliver north says the potus can inact presidential emergency action document with nothing more than his signature and this gets payed.

This has nothing to do with the shut down and everything to do with the potus and dod inflicting pain to prove a point.

    Absolutely disgusting
