Sorry fuzz can't help ya here. If I were getting a hang on id definitely keep the platform size in mind. I like a bigger platform.

I have used and own the Big Game Boss XL thing is massive...not nearly as light or mobile as a Milenium but I have no problem sitting all day in one...but the Milenium will have a more comfortable seat to it. All depends on the money you want to spend or the deal you can get. If mobility is a factor always go as light as you can.

Yeah I just haven't heard great things about Big Games customer service. Not sayin I'd need it but in case, I'd like it to be good. And I like a huge platform so I can move around more but I'm not to big (5' 5" 145lbs) so I'm wondering if the millennium would be big enough. And mobility isn't a hug factor once it's up it'll stay up for the season. I know REMYNGTON you stated in my other thread bout you'd go with a big game so that's wut got me thinkin.

Man if size isn't a problem and you can stand setting for long sits in a seat unlike millenium I'd do what I do. Get any brand that feels as though it's well made. Steel construction sucks for mobility and hanging them but like you I usually set stands and leave it up so heavy is fine and it's cheaper :) I got every thing from Big Game stands to Guide Gear specials from Sportsmansguide to old summits and meijer specials even a Ameristep...all work for what I need. No comfortable but do-able. I am getting a light mobile one though going into this next season like a Milenium or Loc-on

I currently have 2 Big Game Boss XL's hung on my property. I HATE THEM. They are loud and very immobile. In fact, just three days ago I stood up to draw on a nice doe and it creaked so loud that it probably spooked every deer on my 45 acre farm. Not only are they loud, but they are ridiculously heavy. I can hang one by myself but not without sweating like i just walked out of the gym. I recommend a Lone Wolf.

The creeking is almost always a result of either being too tight or too snug to the tree....or some cases you do have to put some rubber washers on to quiet it...I've personally never had to but know guys that do. I'll put rubber washers on all my stands before spending $20-$100 more just to hang and let a stand sit in one spot. Lone Wolf's are great, one of the top treestands period...however not if you're the put up and leave type of guy that doesn't have a ton of money to spend.

    Lone wolf = Broken Bank
    I can get a m-25 for $99 +shipping
    Or a boss xl for $89 +shipping

So I'm going with one of them just dunno I want somethin sturdy, comfortable , an would like a foot rest (that's why I'm kinda leanin more towards a boss xl)

I can't say a lot about other stands but this boss xl is what I use and have had great luck with mine. I haven't really had a noise problem but I'm mostly standing and rarely sit. The biggest thing I always look at is I can get one plus whatever ladder system I want for the price of most just stands. They aren't something that I'd probably wanna carry around much but if that's not a big issue then what's that matter. I would suggest getting some small ratchet straps to help hold it to tree, I'm sure they're not needed but I'd rather trust one of them then the strap that's provided. That might jus be me tho I do that with any stands any get tho.

Id definetly be adding an extra strap or two. The stand i have right now is held on by an extra one just incase somethin would happen.

Ha yea I don't really know what to think about them slip buckles or whatever they're called. Plus ratchet strap makes it easier to hang if your by yourself, I definitely don't do that the safest way but it makes it a lot easier.

I love the Millenium M-25, M-50 and M100. I have them all. They most comfortable hang-ons made to me. Lightweight and easy to setup. The M-25 does not use the Cam Receiver like the other two, but it is a great stand for the money.

I have four big boss xl and a couple other low cost hang ons. I also have lone wolf with sticks. I don't have any millenniums but if you are going to be mobile choose a lone wolf or the lighter millenniums. If you are going to just hang and leave the big boss will do that's what I use them for. On all the cheap stands I add a ratchet strap along with the one it comes with you can get it tighter to the tree.
