Pretty Dang Funny. If it's not legit, the salesman needs to be in Hollywood. :D:D:D
Why couldn't everything be staged(and is)... except the salesman? I believe everyone knew, except him.
My first thought also. Still possible Mr. Salesman wasn't in the know I suppose. He certainly appeared to be genuinly upset.
Maybe, but that would mean Pepsi would be accepting some large liability if something went wrong without the guy's consent and large corporations do not like accepting liability
Risk and reward? Professional driver, closed course.... 2.2 Million views in less than 24 hours.... I would've been concerned about the mans heart health... he was a hefty fellow to be getting so tore up.
I agree with Hook on this one. No way the salesman wasn't in on it. They threw in the expletives on youtube to give it some realism.
There is a chance that the expletives are real even if he was in the know. I know whether I knew or not, I would have probably swore just as much as him, because that was some crazy stuff.
Buckmaster, you can't possibly believe for one second that this video is legit. Come on man. Think about it. No way in heck, Pepsi is taking on that risk. Also, look how many cameras just happened to be "planted" all over what is obviously a closed course. Really funny and cool, but extremely put up for advertising. Fun to watch, but very staged. My money would also bet that the salesman is an actor. No way they risk injury or a panic attack to some overweight car salesman. You might also consider that the magical Pepsi can camera never seems to move or bounce around. It's always perfectly positioned on the salesman.
IDK Fletch, I honestly think everything was staged, EXCEPT the salesman... Maybe he was too, but he did a good job. How hard would it be to set everything up on a closed course? Not hard... as soon as he left the lot, sideways.... I doubt the salesman even cared where he was going, he just wanted to get back safe.... He could've took him into the closed course, did his thing and brought him back.... It's completely obvious the whole thing was staged.... I get that... but part of me thinks the salesman had no idea... Liability or not. Maybe he did, we'll snope it in a few weeks.
Welcome to viral marketing...imagine what that would've cost to put on the air...yet everybody is spreading it around for them, for free...
