I am in Kansas and still seeeing some nice deer packing head gear. I have found some sheds, but no freshies yet. Post some info on what you have been seeing in the fields wether it be shed bucks, bucks still with horns, 1 sided bucks, fresh sheds and so on. It is getting very close around here, just curious what everbody else is seeing and finding in the field especially in the midwest.
I'd say I'm split 50/50 between 1 sided bucks and bucks still sporting a complete rack. Haven't checked my cams in the last few days tho. Only shed I've found was a small spike probably last years horn tho. I haven't heard of anyone finding freshies yet, but I know they're out there. I'm shed hunting in Woodson county.
Coming from western Illinois...Every buck I seen last weekend still had both sides. This winter sucked!!
I have found a matching set already here in Iowa. Its the only ones I have found. Havent seen any bucks still sporting though but that could be because I have only seen does. lol. No cameras out right now. The set I found were pretty fresh with a little blood still on them.
About half of my bucks have shed completely here around Manhattan. I have seen some full racks, half racks, and no racks. Its definitely gonna be soon that they all have shed.
Found a small fresh 4 pt. side early, on Jan.6th when I went to pull a cam. Been out three times since then and havnt found anyother freshies. Lots of bucks still packing both sides in SEK.
Went out to some great spots in western Illinois, didn't find any... Seen two bucks that still had full racks
im in eastern Nebraska too....but ive found 17 sheds so far....only 5 of them are fresh. Still lots of bucks holding on.
in northern illinois the bucks are still packin'! gunna check trail cams tomorrow and see if any have dropped.
