My dad and I hunted with Eagle Lakes Outfitters in Illinois in 2012 and had a great time. The owners and guides were very friendly and accommodating. We saw more deer during the week there than we see in probably 3 years hunting at home. My dad saw multiple shooters and had an opportunity at a good buck but his arrow clipped a limb. I only saw one shooter but I saw multiple young bucks within range that were just below the minimum size. I ended up getting a 151" buck on my 5th morning and a doe a couple of nights before. We have been itching to get back since then. It just hasn't worked out yet but hopefully next year it will come together.
I have been to Outdoor Partners the past 3 years. It's in western Illinois. It's a DIY outfitter. I have had multiple opportunities on bucks 130" and higher, but couldn't seal the deal. I'm not going this year due to financial reasons. I can't say enough good things about them. you can look at it this way, I kept going back even though I didn't connect. what does that say? (no, it doesnt mean I'm a dumbass!!) Google search them.

Check out Rack and Wing. I hunt the ground next to theirs and I can promise that its premo. Website is rackandwing.com and located in Carroll County. We've had to work together a few times over the past years when mortally wounded deer cross property lines and I have grown to respect the whole outfit. That says a lot for me because I'm not the outfitter kind of guy. Dan does a nice job.
Bigneck Outfitters in Loraine,IL isn't the high end outfitter so their rates are more reasonable. They have lots of land a lots of deer & turkeys. Great people there.
