So my schedule during the week with my sons doesn't allow me to get in before first light. I generally get the boys on the bus around 0735 and then I have to get them off the bus around 1545. My question is, what time would you go out to your stand? Has anyone else tried to hunt middays like this before? I was thinking about 0930 to about 1400
Perfect time to kill a rutting November buck. I have killed many bucks between. 10-2 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Never intentionally gone in to only hunt mid-day, but then again, have never had a schedule where it was the only choice. I would just get in as soon as I could and sit as long as I could.
I was leaving my stand last year from a morning sit at 1300. As I was lowering my bow on the bow Hoist two does come out of no where and just start feeding. After that day, if I have the time for a mid day and nothing else, I'll do it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I was walking in today, after heavy rain this morning, at 12:15PM and interrupted a small 8pt making a scrape. Got set up in my stand and that same buck walked 15 yrds from me at 1:35PM. Still early, and only one Pa buck tag. From here on out it will be all day sits for me when I can hunt.
