What are your thoughts on mid monring hunts. Im off work today and got the kids off to school so I am heading out around 9 to go get in the woods. Im usually out in the morning or the evening and never in the middle of the day until the rut kicks in. Going to see what happens. Hopefully I'll have a pics to upload later.

Good luck - it really depends on what your weather is doing in your area. For example, here in Indiana the weather has been pretty hot for October (80s the past week or so), because of that deer are moving really early between 7:00 and 9:00 a.m. and really late between 7:30 p.m. on... That said, I wouldn't be doing a mid morning hunt on the property I hunt because I'd be wasting my time.

One can never know when the deer will decide to get up. I have one stand location where I tried planting a kill plot but it failed. I have deer in it all times of the day from August till now. It's located in the forest about 100+ yards from a large bean feild. I wouldn't think twice about hunting it during the day. good luck to you.

You can't kill a deer sitting in your house.

As alsways, a bad day hunting always beats a good day at work.

Yep, get out and hunt. It's a rare kill that a man makes in his living room. :ninja:

Wrong! Hasn't anyone else shot a deer with a bow from their house? I've connected on 1 from the kitchen and 1 from the garage. The garage one was a mistake, though. The wife and kids were watching the deer from a bedroom and didn't know I was shooting. LOL. Of course I've wisened up a lot since then.
