The Blog link was the same info as everywhere else, and all the video did was read the same email and show the photos. Still no additional story, and no proof from a credible source. Until I see otherwise, I'm still saying there's more to this story than we know.
I look forward to it. I have a question though....how did these pictures get leaked on a young open investigation?
Michigan blows From what I was told info was leaked early, I don't know. Let me give Jenny from the block a call and I will find out Heard today the raided a place wiht 15 untagged deer, true or not I do not know.
It is a pretty small island...I'm surprised it could hold that many deer. It will be interesting to see how this shakes out.
Germ I lust watched the vid, excluding the poaching ring The vid was very interesting. Claude has my undivided respect Kinda reminds me of WB in a way I hope to still be hunting at that age!
Their herd got way out of control because they had been only killing bucks with 10 points or better for years, so last year they killed close to 20 bucks all 8 pts or less. They didn't take enough, so this year they brought in 22 hunters during that hunt to help kill more deer. The DNR raided the island this year on the tips of many concerned hunters that "illegal stuff" was going on out there. What the DNR found was 31 bucks on the pole, and several small bucks and does laying around. 10 of the bucks were untagged. The DNR did a thorough investigation, questioning everyone they could and in the end, there were 10 tickets given for the untagged deer. The deer were not confiscated because apparently these guys had tags for their deer, but they hadn't tagged them immediately because they were on a private island and weren't too concerned about wardens out there. The hunters that shot them were there with their tags though. So the tickets were more for "delayed tagging" than that of poached deer.
