One of the better interstate college football rivalries is upon us, now let's get some picks and smack talk. Im taking Michigan by a touchdown, winning mostly because half of State's team will be in prison by the time the game comes around...
We're State fans. I think our defense is good enough to keep the Wolverines from running up the score, but our inept play calling on offense will make a win impossible.
This game makes me nervous. State is good enough up the middle to contain the run, and good enough on the outsides to cover 1-on-1. That is a bad scenario for UM. Gallon is probably the only receiver that gets separation. Hemingway is never really open, but he's good in jump balls. If they can continue to get some big plays on the outside, and Robinson minimizes his mistakes, I think they have a good chance to win.
UM is much improved and is revelent again. That is a good thing for the Big Ten. Having said that, I think they get exposed as not being the #10 team in the nation on Saturday.
Looks like I was wrong as far as the final score was concerned. But State REALLY must tune up the offense. The score should have been 42-7.
