Anyone started any type of tree plots on their property? Was watching Growing Deer TV and I think I am going to start an area for one. I am going to grow pear and apple for sure but, trying to find out what nut bearing trees to grow.

I have a couple acre plot that I plant late summer with buck forage oats. The deer love it but i agree with what was said above about mature animals coming into it during daylight hours. I'm going to try to block the food plot up this year with frigid forage plot screen. Hoping that will help with the daylight movement. Very happy with the buck forage oats. I have included a photo of my plot , I cannot remember the exact date but i believe it was late October -early November.

Anyone ever attempt Eagle Forage Soybeans? I am looking at growing a heartier food plot for fall and beans have always been intriguing to me.

Well I ended up planting half Whitetail Institute clover and Half Evolved mixed beans. Not sure what I'm planting in the fall but I have the field all agitated and ready for weed killer.

Well it turns out that my bean mix had some radishes mixed in as well so im going to have to mow those down soon before they seed.(Which I didn't know they did that) As for my clover it has came in very nicely, I plan on broadcasting some chicory and more clover this weekend. I picked up a bag of boneyard seed and am going to plant it for my fall plot.
