Well our season ended on the first but im just now getting around to this. Again hunting over bait isnt my style of hunting. This is my strategy of getting to know whats around late season when there is not a main source of food around. This is how I make my 2 mile walk back in with out sweating.
For Michigan public land they are both great deer. You could definitely tell that the 8 was more dominate though he was always pushing the 11 off.
Awesome pictures. It's great getting pictures of bucks who made it through the season. Looks like those squirrells arent too shy!
I didnt know it was there breading season right now. Just waiting for some of this snow to melt then going to see if i cant find there sheds soon, both should be great deer next year. Oh yeah where at?
Awesome deer for MI State land. I am surprised you can walk 2 miles on state land without hitting a road in southern MI
Great public land bucks. If possible I'd try to find where theyre bedding, the key to killing big bucks. Good luck!
I can't believe you have those deer on camera from MI public land. That's awesome! The public lands around here have nothing like that.
I was able to get on the 8 getting him 4 days in a row during legal time then the 5th day he skirted around me. The 11 I couldnt figure out where he was bedding at. Just ran out of time with only hunting this area for the last 3 weeks of season.
Its a pretty good chunk of property, you start at one road then butts up to another. Finding the right location and getting away from other people. Im pretty sure I know of a couple diffrent locations that have deer like these on them just never put in the time on public land
