I only got to watch for a few minutes, the Michigan game... I was to busy thumping my chest and flexing in front of the bathroom mirror celebrating the excellent start to the Fickell regime.

    You guys are so screwed!

Yes I would also after taking on that talented bunch from Akron, LOL They played Western at home last year, and guesses on the Score

    Westen Michigan 56 Akron 10.

Never judge on game 1 IMO, it's a long season.

Keep your piss away from my cheerios! I am not even talking about the score or who they played, I am talking about the game that Fickell called. There was no letting up. He didn't play the second half laydown like Tress always did.

He pulled his first team and then a lot of his second team but he let those kids play ball both on offence and defense, there was no laying down.

Also was very impressive the game he called missing 9 starters and 2 second team guys for the game. It was plug and play, they were very well coached. You wouldn't have known that there were third and fourth team guys taking a lot of reps yesterday.

It was a great game called against Akron, I just watch the replay on BTN. I cannot believe that Akron had more wins than tOSU last year, 1-11

On a serious note after seeing MSU defensive line and o-line, I don't see tOSU losing any of their first 5.

I was surprised how pedestrian MSU looked, however they have time to get their stuff together yet. They could be a different team by the 5th game.

YSU had 30+ players leave, MSU struggle against 1-AA Freshmen and So.

I would not worry about them, hell I think Michigan can beat them.

The Cleveland Browns smashed the NY Giants on Monday night football the year NY won the superbowl... Sometimes everything goes wrong for a team.

I am not saying MSU is going to be good or average or bad yet, just that I am waiting to make that determination.

I agree, but at least pro's are somewhat on the same level talent wise.

My favorite play from the game.

Treehopper. Wisconsin fans are not allowed to comment in these scUM/O$U threads unless you bow down and worship the almighty ones.

I'm a big time Michigan fan, and I don't know what people are excited about. Michigan got a few lucky plays that totally changed the outcome of the game. Look at the stats - Michigan 288 yds and WMU 279 yds on offense. WMU was 54% on 3rd-downs. Michigan played bad and barely won. Notre Dame played crappy and barely lost.

If you HAD to bet $1000 on UM or ND who would you put it on?

    I'd have to go ND.

I like Hoke, but it's going to take a few years.

What the hell are all the guys on the west side of the state so negative all the time for?

Causing INT's and fumbles are not lucky for any team. It's about making plays and Michigan made them on Saturday. Hoke himself said the defense is no where near where he wants it.

Enjoy the win, and I would be 100 on Michigan!!!!

Whoa, whoa, whoa...lets not lump us all together. I wasn't negative at all, just not jumping all in yet. I want to see how they do against a good team. Remember the start they had the last 2 seasons? And what happened when they played a good team?

Yes, I'm excited Hoke is there, and yes, I think they are heading in the right direction.

I like you Germ, I really do...but you were a Rod lover. I know it was in your past, and I shouldn't judge you based on that. But some things are hard to forget.

    Go Blue.
