very cool. It does seem a bit early for full hard horns and winter coats. Poor guy must've been overheating with these 90 degree temps. I'm heading to Isabella County next weekend to set my stands and for my final card pull before the season. I'm hoping to get some out of velvet shots too.
I ussually have bucks out of velvet by the last week of august every year. got my first pic of on out yesterday! it's almost time!
Went and checked my camera today and had a small six point on it still in full velvet (My first buck ever on camera and only took 2 weeks) and it was mid last week. A guy at work has a picture of a nice 10 or 12 point from 2 weeks ago with almost all his velvet gone except for a little bit down around the bases.

Awesome, really gets my blood pumping. Our season starts on Sept. 15th and I've never seen a buck still in velvet after then. They usually start around the last week of August through the first week of Sept. Makes me want to get out and swap my cards and see what I've got.
