What are the pros and cons of using a metal loop vs a tied one. I would think a metal one would be more consistent, I'm asking because I'm getting ready replace my whisker biscuit with a QAD HDX, and was wondering if one would work better than another.

    Thanks

    Rocky

    tied all the way.

    Less weight, less parts.

+1 and with a metal loop it's easy to to put a twist in the string too.

Yes! Tied loop for me. Metal loops eats up a little FPS and potentially can negatively effect accuracy.

Search metal loop slo-mo vids. Once you see it, you'll never have on one your string.

Thanks for everyone's input, I saw them on the QAD web page and was wondering about them.

Wow - a picture is worth a thousand words, and a movie is worth ten thousand.

That video shows it all for sure. I honestly can't think of a reason good enough to warrant the use of a metal loop... is there one??

I would say that movie is worth only a couple words "no thanks"

I wouldn't consider one. Just another example of trying to reinvent the wheel.

Absolutely no metal d loops. Tied is cheaper, easier and far easier on strings and servings.
