Hey Guys, Last year I bought these Menards climbing sticks for bout 35 dollars. They are basically a piece ladder that you strap on the tree. The set was 16 feet high and my buddy had an extra one he lended me. Anyway here's the pros and cons. Pros 1. Affordable- This set, for 16 feet is cheaper than if you were to buy one LW section. 2. Easy to Put Together- The sections are easily put together if you have a couple wrenches laying around. 3. Installation - IMO, I found these sticks were fairly simple to install. Noted that I am 28 and very capable. I'll admit though that these you need to take your time on since you working up and down a tree. So it takes about 15 to 20 mins to install 20 feet worth. By myself that is. 4. Easy to climb - After installing them I thought climbing up and down was a success. I liked them a lot better that the tree pegs you screw in. I felt really safe. Cons 1. Weight - These suckers are very heavy a set. Not something you want to take down and put up all season long. Carrying em in the woods wasn't the greatest. 2. Not for every tree- These are not bad for installing however you do need a fairly straighter tree that's not heavy loaded with limbs. 3. Bulky- These climbing sticks are a pain to put together when carrying em through the woods. Also they take a bit of storage in the garage. Overall I felt these were a decent buy for the price conscience buyer. I liked the price and the security of them. I would recommend them to someone who hunts on public land that doesn't mind carrying the extra weight. Btw I bought another set this year!
Can you get a picture up of them? I have been in the market for sticks for a while that done break the bank. Thanks! Sounds like a gem.
Never even knew that Menards made any hunting gear. That is a great price just hope they are quality.
Yeah, neither did I. They have a very small section and this year the price went up to 41 dollars which still isn't bad. But I found out from my buddy that they sell the climbing sticks.

I have 2 sets of the climbing sticks & have no complaints. I also have 3 of the menards brand hang on stands & have had good luck with them as well. Bought them @ the end of the season & paid $25 a piece for them.
Great info. I have bought cheap stuff that is outside of the realm of regular Menards items before and had terrible experiences. I dont think they would go cheap with something like this, though.
