I talked with Todd the other day & we came up with the idea of getting some ideas for a shooting contest at the gtg this year. So start posting some unique shooting contest & we'll use it for one of the shoots. The long distance, 3-D, & clay targets are still on. The last one will be picked by everyone. Be specific with details and think how we'll be able to apply it with team shoots and timing is key to get people thru the event. thanks everyone.

Doesn't matter what we come up with. As long as you are shooting that piece of crap Bowtech you aren't going to be any challenge for any of us HOYT shooters!!!!

2 man teams vegas 3 spot
First team member draws his own bow and has to hold on his target until his teamate pulls his trigger for him. NO Talking so that it is a complete surprise.
If the shooter uses a back tension then the target has to be called out by a different team and shot within 3 seconds of it being called.
3 spot target at 20 yards, 6 arrows per team of 2 shooters

Actual pheasants. Coon Creek is a pheasant hunting club, right? OK, that might pose some issues with season dates, licensure and arrow impact location on all of those missed shots.

I thought the "iron buck" was brutal to arrows, but a unique experience.

I think a 9 hole golf style would be cool. He has a huge facility we can setup a course similar to golf. Targets ranging from 200 to 500 yards. If we use paper circle targets with haybale back stops stratagy gets involved. We reverse the scoring so we have a 1 ring, 3 ring and a 5 ring. Your target score plus the number of shots to reach the target give you your score for that hole. We can include dog legs and with the hay bales if you put it in the bale we have a short shot for the putt! Strategy comes in deciding to go for a long shot or put it close or in the bale for an easy shot.
