We need to get a "Make a Wish" hunt for SPOTnSTALK before he explodes. I watched an episode of her on a turkey shoot. They put her together with a guy, I don't think they knew each other at all. I swear I saw him making googly eyes at her a couple of times. Here's an article and a very good read about what she went through last year. She was cast to be in the series "Ultimate Survival Alaska" but after Tim Martell from Florida started a viral campaign, National Geographic dropped her in 2012. Not to be confused with the recent issue. Outrage over Melissa Bachman Termination by National Geographic
The only thing I don't like is that she probably pulls more draw weight than me. She'd give me an inferiority complex.
Not to derail this thread from you guys ogling over a girl in a bikini, but back on topic... If by "all that crap" you mean "the internet" then yes, you're correct. However you can't single out social media outlets for stuff like this. There are thousands of hunting websites out there, this one included, that talk about and showcase the harvesting of animals for sport. As hunters it's what we do and nobody should be ashamed of it. Melissa is a very intelligent person and a great advocate for hunting in general. I for one am glad she's the one under attack here as I'm sure she'll be able to defend her position, which is the same as all of ours, in a respectful and professional manner. Besides, this will all be over in a few days like every other headline that makes the front page of Yahoo or any other news site. As for lion hunting in general, it's just not my cup of tea. However it is legal and sanctioned by the governments of the places where it happens so I have no problem with it. To each their own.
I am on Facebook a lot a lot of good things have come from it. It is a great tool to social network. I enjoy it a lot. With that said I make sure that I post appropriate stuff. I do post pics of deer that I shot and if a potential employer doesnt like that it is fine with me. I probably didnt want to work there anyways. What I have an issue with is shooting an animal that you are not going to eat. I dont understand it. Coyotes being the exception of course.
Jason, for the most part we are on the same page. We cant lament the fact that she is facing criticism because by using social media to promote herself and the sport she has to except everything that comes from it, both good and bad. I am sure she understands that and this isn't the first time she experienced this. Really it is non issue, just like its a non story. In a more direct and less politically correct world her critics would be told shut their pie holes, mind their own business and live and let live.
^THIS!! hahaha I think she ridic!!! Told my ol'lady that if ever given the opportunity I would leave her in a heart beat for Melissa. Def a cutie that knows whats up! Great eyes too! LOL
I expect she can hold her own in this matter as mentioned above, she may get some heat by some spectators for a bit but hopefully this will blow over for her soon. Now play theme from: The Bodyguard... O..sighhhh...
Justin said it well. I don't think I would like to go Lion hunting myself...they always say never say never but I don't think she deserves that kind of heat. I have watched a lot of her shows and seen her speak in person and she knows what shes doing and is intelligent; hopefully this will all blow over.
She always struck me as a little too 'excited' about the kill...like she just enjoys taking a life..sorta serial killer-ish.
Meh. I don't find her that attractive. Her best quality would be how she likes to hunt, but outside of that she is just so-so to me. Hope it all works out for her, though.
