Not sure why it received less media coverage than the other Medal of Honor ceremonies of recent times, but CPT Swenson(retired) finally received his MOH today for his actions during the Battle of Ganjgal in 2009.

Feels like a political ploy unfortunately, as during the ceremony that POS POTUS said something in reference to Congress needing to have more courage like Swenson. Swenson certainly is a hero, but I think it's very sad that he's being used as a political pawn by Obama. Great that he's finally getting the honor, bad that he's being used.

It's too bad the honor couldn't have been bestowed to this hero by someone with equal character.

I dislike Obama as much as anyone and nothing political should ever be referenced while awarding the Medal of Honor. The reason I posted this was that I was disgusted with the lack of coverage this Medal of Honor ceremony received compared to others.

I heard a clip of it on the radio. I wondered if the recipient was thinking during the ceremony, I cannot believe this POS is giving me this.

Awards take forever to get routed through the chain of command. Always good to see them get some recognition.

It was covered and I watched part of the ceremony on FoxNews, and YES I agree that the awarding of a MOH should never be politicized. However, as unfortunate as it is, the POS POTUS did indeed use it to politicize, and take a swipe at those who don't agree with him.
