I killed one on Sat our opener in Va. The shot was back and low. My arrow was covered in guts so i waited 5 hrs to trail. I only needed 20 mins and 120 yds Even with a bad shot it still got the liver and she died not far from where I shot. I got a clean pass thru at 25 yds. Rage is the only Mech I will shoot, hell it's the only Broadhead I will shoot. I keep some fixed blade in the quiver, but Rage is always on my arrow. give em a try, you won't be sorry.

IMO There is no such thing as "the most accurate head", There is alot of fixed blade and expanibles that will fly just as accurate as your field points. Its just a tuning issue in most cases and not the broadhead that is causing the inaccurateness. My hellrazors are flying like a charm, but that was after dozens of shots and alot of tweaking.

UOTE=GMMAT;116124]Hit 'em where Siman did......and ANY head will do the trick.

I'll say it again......shot placement is KEY. If you have these two ingredients present.....you're a strong candidat for mechanicals:

    1. Correct tune....or a proper marriage between bow AND arrow. If your bow will shoot a large, fixed blade BH true.......then you're a candidate.

    2. Sufficient energy to propel such a large head through your quarry. These heads eat up a LOT of energy on their way through. You gotta have some serious ass behing your arrow.....or you're asking for troble.

On broadside shots......you could probably get away with shortcoming on boths points. On a qtring shot..........you just won't. Period.

If you're "good" with those bullet points.....these heads are DEVASTATING. No doubt about it.

    Good luck.[/QUOTE]
i was shooting rabbits @ 20 yrds with my g-5's so i am tuned pretty good but for the k.e. i am pulling 55# @ 28'' now is that enough energy or no? i dont want to get out there and wound a critter cause i am using the wrong heads lol
