I voted "over 50% 3 or more times" based on your criteria of "arrow not even in the deer at all". Though it probably should have said "broadhead not in the deer at all"?
ihunt, that's an impressive pass through on that doe in the picture. You have some serious KE with your setup though. Nice shot.
I've killed 4 this year with Swhackers. " My BH of choice" 3 deer with 100gr. 2" and one deer with a 100gr. 1.75" cut. I had one that didn't pass through...hit the shoulder on the other side and was sticking out...but not a complete pass through. That was probably the first one in the last 10 kills that didn't pass though with them.
Nine deer with rage 2 blades. One didn't completely pass through and it hit the leg on the opposite side. Sounded like a baseball bat hitting the deer. The other 8 were complete pass through shots. Also two complete pass through shots on hogs and one on a coyote.
I switched to the Rocket Hammerheads last year and I have killed 4 bucks in the last two years all with the same head and blades!!! All were complete pass through a and all deer were recovered within 100 yards!!
nap killzone. Complete pass through, quartering away, busted through opposite side shoulder and exited on the other side. Only damaged was a bent coc tip. 62 pounds 27 inch draw length. 425 grain arrow Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
Depending on your set up I truly think your fine. I have a relatively short draw and not crazy high poundage. As long as you have a nice heavy arrow you will do well. And the fact that it suffered minimal damage going through a shoulder shows its durability Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
