I was wondering If I have enough power to shoot a mechanical broadhead. I am shooting 55 lbs at a 27 inch draw

How much do your arrows weigh? Also depends on what kind of mechanical, shooting a Rage 40KE with a 1.5 inch cut is going to give you more penetration than one of the new Rage's with a 2+ inch cut.

That being said, I have a 26 inch draw and 63 lbs draw weight, and have shot a few deer with Trophy Ridge Meat Seekers and gotten quick kills and complete passthroughs. I shoot relatively heavy arrows though (FMJs).

I won't claim to be an expert, but I think you should be fine. You are shooting around the same KE as me, and I have killed deer with Rage 2-blades and 3 blade Meat Seekers, all my shots were under 20 yards though.

You should be fine but you can never go wrong with the Rage 40KE just in case!

The thing about the rage is they open real easy. You don't need that much power. I don't know about the G5s. I shot the rage 1.5 or as some call it the 40 ke. I put down my first deer with it. A 120 lb buck and a small buck.

Yeah but they open too easily like while stalking or moving too sharply. The g5s are tunable so you can adjust the tension for the poundage. And the three blade leaves a nastier hole then the slit.

Yeah I would say you should be fine especially at short distances

Yeah I hunt eastern hardwoods so the shots are pretty short. NJDEP of fish and game say the average distance is twelve yards in my area

Go for it man! I'm shooting three blade rage this year. I just like rage. I like the larger entry holes. But I'm sure the T3 is a great BH.

I like that every part on the t3 is steel. No aluminum. It's much stronger and more dependable.
