I am planning on rebuilding our rotten meat pole this year. It is currently built by 6x6's on each side cemented into the ground with a 4x4 across the top to hold the carcass. We use a boat which to hoist the carcass. Any interesting meat pole designs or ideas out there guys?
we got a 6x6 buried 4 feet in the ground. cut a square notch on top. 2 inch steel pipe in the crotch of a oak tree and put the other end in the notch. pounded a nail in there and its all good. gota chain hoist on there, but we big guys. one pickin up the deer and another pullin a rope and tie er off.
