    Anyone watch the show Meat Eater on sportsman's channel? I consider it to be the best hunting show by far. One of the few shows that doesn't just shove their sponsors gear down your throat all episode. Its cool to see him cook the game he kills too. What are some of your guy's favorite shows.

    I used to watch it when it was on a different channel and called something different but it is the same exact show. I love that show and I wish that I had the outdoors channel.

    I like MeatEater...the 2 shows I enjoy the most and DVR weekly are: Heartland Bowhunter, and Midwest Whitetail.

    Exactly the same as mine. I really like Heartland Bowhunter because of the cinematics of it, and it just seems like those guys are having fun all the time. Midwest Whitetail I like because it gives you tips on how to hunt.

    I agree... Last season there was a show Over Yonder Outdoors.. Very much like HLB and was based and filmed in Missouri as well, had the same tone, music etc.... But don't know if the Sportsmen Channel picked it up for season 2 or not

    One of my favorite shows and the only rifle hunt show I watch. His New Zealand show where he hunted hogs with dogs and knife was cool. He got a little choked up watching to hog die.

    I really like MeatEater...I enjoy the hunts, how they're not so "produced" feeling. But what I really appreciate is how Rinella just breaks it down. I have never seen anyone else articulate not only the generic "why" we hunt, but also just how he describes and breaks down the internal dialogue we (or at least I) have with ourselves pre, during, and after each hunt...how each hunt, even each sit is its own experience. He just has an ability to verbalize concepts which I personally and instinctively feel as a hunter, but am not always able to put into words...Case in point:

    I have Direct TV and I know all my shows are on 604 and 605, not sure which is which, one is Sportsman's Channel and the other is The Pursuit Channel
