How do you measure an arrow for new ones, from the valley of the the nock to the end of the insert or what? Thank you

The official way is to measure from the valley of the nock to the end of the carbon.

Myself, I measure the length of the carbon only.

The only thing that ever made sense to me was the measured length of the shaft without components. nocks vari in length and with the common use of outserts and halfouts there are a number variables

I bare shaft tune but measure from the knock grove. My fieldtip practice shafts are 5/16 longer than my broadhead hunting shafts.

At my local dealer they measure end of the arrow shaft to the valley of the nock.

measuring from the nock makes NO sense. Bare shaft all the way.
Wait, we're still talking arrows, right?
