Can't wait for all the hype to be over also can't wait to see McGregor get humiliated and punched in his loud mouth. He has ZERO chance of winning.

I think each would easily win in his respective arena. Luckily for Mayweather, it'll play out in his. I hope McGregor keeps it interesting and is getting a fair enough share of the purse.

The press conference will be 10x better than the actual fight. To call this a super fight is a joke. Mcgregor has no business being in a boxing ring with even a no name pro boxer that has 10 fights under his belt, let alone one of the best boxers of all time. If this was mma though... Connor Mac would win within the first 2 mins.

I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss McGregor's chances, dude is a fighter. If someone can crossover successfully from MMA to boxing, I'd say he's got as good a shot as can be imagined. Mayweather is far from unbeatable.

I'll just say it is McGregor's last chance at a good payday--- and it will give Mayweather some pocket change...

Unbeatable? Of course not. But, the reality is that 49-0 is as close as it gets to unbeatable. The only reason McGregor is deserving of this boxing opportunity is for his entertainment draw, not his boxing credentials or prowess.

Pretty sure it will be a one sided fight, but it will draw the $$. I actually think Mayweather is just as unlikable as McGregor, so I'm going to be happy seeing one of them lose either way. Would just be sweeter if Mayweather was on the receiving end since McGregor already has been defeated.

I think they should do it every other round in each others fighting technique. Each fighter would try to win it in the round of their style would make for an epic fight. Anybody that thinks Conner has a chance clearly can not appreciate what it takes to be a 49-0 undefeated champion, Conner will be fighting the all time great in the weight class oh sure time and age catch up but not enough to give a conner a snowballs chance in hell of winning. Las Vegas will pick this fight correctly.

LOL, Ok ok...whatever but I recall not too long ago people also arguing that Ronda Rousey was absolutely unbeatable and me arguing that was absolutely untrue. Within like two months she got her butt handed to her.

Anyone that dismisses a fighter like McGregor, in any situation, is making a mistake...even Mayweather has acknowledged the danger McGregor poses to him.
McGregor is younger, bigger, a lefty and is completely unaffected by trash talk. He's got a proven chin against tougher guys than Mayweather and them not wearing standard boxing gloves. Floyd gets hit...a lot, especially early in fights. McGregor is also smart in his prep and has a great trainer.

The only thing that makes it a fair fight is the fact that it's boxing, I'm not so sure that's enough. Sure, Mayweather is the favorite to win but I'm not all that confident...I wouldn't bet against McGregor. The outcome will depend on McGregor's prep, if Mayweather survives the first round...I imagine he'll win but that's a big if. Many many times, he's been hurt in the first round by being tagged...but, he was younger and wasn't tagged by anyone like McGregor who is bigger, younger and stronger. Maybe the closest I've seen that I can recall is Mosley and Floyd survived that but Mosley got stupid in that fight and he wasn't as big or young as McGregor.

I'm not making any predictions, I think that would be extremely stupid, I'm just saying McGregor is not a write-off by any means.

I used to loath Mc Gregor for his cockiness and arrogance. I thought it was just the way he was. After I saw him lose to Diaz though I saw a very humble side of him. Dude didn't make excuses, he didn't blame anyone but himself. He went down with dignity and gave Nate credit. After this I realized his cocky show wasn't really who he was. Who he is, is a genius of self promotion. I think he will surprise Mayweather but in the end Mayweather will do what he does best. Dodge, dodge, dodge, clinch and put on one of the most boring shows you could imagine.

I wouldn't write McGregor off, though he is a long shot. He does have a boxing background from his youth. He is also what 11 years younger. I give him a slight chance if he can get a shot in during the first 3 rounds. I would expect the fight to go the distance or maybe Mayweather getting a knockout or TKO late in the fight. Mayweather is not going to go after McGregor early risking getting popped, he is going to keep distance and counter.

Maybe an "accidental" spinning kick about the 4th round. Ooooops.

One more thing, folks keep bringing up kicking...McGregor generally beats his opponents standing up boxing from what I've seen. He's got good hand speed and is very accurate.
I think it's a good match up to be honest. If McGregor preps correctly at least. If he thinks he's just going to walk into the ring and be competitive without a hell of a lot of work and training and be competitive on bravado alone...he'll be screwed.

    Soooo... doubt I watch.

Yeah we all speculate and take sides about what we think will happen. I will not wager or watch.

I'll throw a few dollars on McGregor just because he's the underdog. And I'll also watch. Not sure if it will be at home, a friend's house or go out with some buddies for a couple beers during the fight. But I'll watch just to see what happens.

My instinct tells me Floyd is going to win - as others have said he's about as close to unbeatable as it gets and has a lifetime of experience and training at only boxing. Connor is a good boxer by UFC standards, but probably not on par with an elite boxer like Floyd. However I would love to see Connor win, mostly because Mayweather is a piece of trash woman-beater.

McGreggor stands to make more money on this single fight than he'll probably make in his entire UFC career. Good move for him on making this all happen. The guy is smart if nothing else.

Interesting. No one is ever unbeatable. Maybe for a short period but ultimately we all succumb to age and we just aren't as good as we used to be. The fact that Mayweather is 40 and McGregor is 28 is a big factor. Another factor is Mayweather hasn't boxed officially in 2 years.

Both have proven to be formidable in their respective rings but experience favors Mayweather and the fact boxing rules apply also favors him. Age and time however do not.

Mayweather has stood the test of time so far but think about this. If he looses to McGregor imagine the hype and revenue potential for a rematch. All around lots of money will be made, for Mayweather, for McGregor and for the UFC.

Floyd would not take this fight if there was not a 100% chance he comes out 50-0. This could be more like a WWF match, predetermined winner but, will be entertaining. Of course, I hope this is not the case.

This is exactly what it is. Now granted I give McGregor a better shot boxing than I would Mayweather stepping into an octagon
