This maybe a dumb question but I just got my bow a few monthes ago and have only been able to practice a few times and did ok (I think decent for my first time shootin, but lost 2 or 3 arrows a few times). What im getting at is gun season just ended where I live and I dont want hunting to be over so would you all recommend that I sit the bow season out or give it a try? Thanks in advance

Sit it out and spend the time learning about bowhunting. There is much, much, much more to bowhunting than just shooting arrows at a target 20 yds away while standing on the ground.

i would agree. Depending on if they offer them in your area or not, you should try to take in a few 3d archery shoots. They are good for helping you estimate your distances and also shows you how a little miss calculation can ruin a good shot. Also just cause you can shoot a target okay, doesn't necasarily mean that you'll be able to pull off a good shot on a deer. I've been shooting my bow my whole life and was amazed at how quickly you forget the little things with your form and how hard it is to hold, concentrate and lightly squeeze off that shot.
