I have a small pond, roughly 1/2 acre, that dried up two years ago and has been dry ever since. I am looking for a food plot blend that would go in this area.

I need something that can withstand the possibility of getting flooded or at least some water to sit in it for a little while even though I think it'll stay dry. It's in the middle of a large section of CRP with a ravine running through 20 yards away and trees all around.

It makes no difference to me whether it needs to be planted in the spring of the fall and same goes with whether it's annual or perennial. 95% sure I will be doing all the work by hand.

What are you wanting or needing the food plot to service? Deer, turkey, waterfowl?

Millets and milo and egyptian wheat could work if it doesn't hold water for a very long period. Some of the millets are pretty water friendly but aren't the best for deer.

    Deer.

Pond doesn't hold water regularly or I would focus on ducks.
