I know this bow is from 2011 but I found one at a local shop with a bunch of great accessories(ones that I want) on it, I was thinking of getting a new bow later this year but they have this one for 700 with a qad ultrarest, Matthews quiver, and a 5 pin sight(not sure which brand). Has anyone had this bow? I'm going to go shoot it next time I head that way, it shoots ibo 340 which is going to be a lot faster than my current bow which tops out at 300. Is this a pretty good deal? My uncle has one. I shot it a few times and it is a sweet shooter. I remind him from time to time that I'm first in line if he ever wants to sell. He uses xbow because of nerve damage in his arm from cancer. In the back of his mind he thinks he will be able to use it again. I hope he's right Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Get a hold of sharpeyedsam on here. I'm pretty sure he has said that was his favorite bow that Matthews ever made. And although he has others, I'm pretty sure he hung on to that one. Blessings.........Pastorjim Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk

I've always regretting not getting a Z7 Magnum - shot it a bunch of times and it's a great bow. I went with the Z7 Xtreme that year and loved that bow as well, but I kind of always had my heart set on the Magnum. Occassionally I browse eBay late at night looking for a good deal on one. $700 seems a touch on the high side for 6 year old bow, even with the accessories. But if it's in good shape and you like it, go for it.
Like pastorjim said, YES I still have my Z7 Magnum and I will keep it. I took it to the range today and shot it! I think the Z7 series of Mathews bows are the best they ever made. The bow is really fast and shoots really well. $700 is a little high, but it may be it's that high because of the sight, quiver and QAD rest. If the bow is in really good shape, buy it! You won't regret it!
I went through the same dilemma earlier this year trying to decide between a Z7 and Helim. I ended up buying the Helim only due to the condition and accessories on it. When I asked the forum and guys at work, most leaned toward the Z7. I think you'll be able to find one a little cheaper during this offseason, but, overall, as long as you're happy with the bow, you can justify what you're willing to pay for it.
Went back to the shop today and actually got to shoot the Z7 Magnum, absolutely loved it, the price is down to 600 now so I am calling the owner on Wednesday and hoping to get it down to 500, really likes the bow it was extremely fast compared to what I am shooting now!!! Thank you all for your input!! I will keep you posted Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have been shooting the Z7 for several years now, great bow. Bare bow in 2011 would cost 9 hundred +. $700 would be top dollars. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
