Anyone out there still think he is top 5 in the league??

63 million?.........Chiefs front office should all be fired for that debacle.

He is nothing more then a back up skilled QB (has been his whole life) who cashed in his Patriots lottery ticket.

The Patriots system means nothing right??

I think Ravens defense had a lot to do with it today.

    9/18 for 70yds 0 TD and 3 INT for a rating of 20.4

Probably the worst performance by a QB in the history of the NFL playoffs.

J Charles did OK against the Ravens D

These are Ryan Fitzpatricks numbers vs the Ravens D this year...........a QB that some here thought was "laughable" to consider in the same category of Cassel.

    29/43 for 382 yds 4 TD's and 2 INT for a rating of 106.9

I guess that was "laughable".........and insulting to Fitzpatrick.

I couldn't agree with all you guys more. He is very overrated, cashed in the Patriots lottery ticket (well said), AND Fitzpatrick ROCKS!!!

Thanks for the props to Fitzy. He has grown on most of us Buffalo fans. Week 4 everyone wanted the first available QB in the draft. Now, most of us want a stud DL or OL with the 3rd pick.

Atlas, who do you root for, almost seams unfair if you are not a Jets fan. You slam Cassell every chance you get, but it seams now it is more of a shot at the patriots "system" each time.

You list 1 game where the Ravens gave up huge yardage against an average QB and this is the reason Cassel sucks, because he did'nt???

Carolina ran for over 250 yards against the Falcons this year, so they must be a great run team too, or we must be really bad. They have the first pick, and we have home field advantage through the playoffs, so you decide which is true.

Virginia.............I don't get the Stevie Johnson photo. What does that have to do with Cassel?

Cassell has benefited from the best running game in the league. That will make any QB look good.

2 sides of the same coin.

No.......you're not following close enough. Cassel sucks because he sucks. Always has and always will. Being plugged into the Pats system and succeeding does not equate to talent........the numbers don't lie, get in the door with the Pats and your production will skyrocket. Remember Julian edelman?.....freakin' QB steps right in for Wes Welker and puts up huge numbers even in the postseason. Welker himself was a castoff. Cassel, Branch, Green-Ellis, A Smith, Woodhead, Edelman, Morris, Any QB, WR or TE they decide to play basically thrives......even some dude named Brian Hoyer stepped in for Brady this year and had great numbers.

Has anyone ever left the Patriots and done better??...........contrast that with how many obscure no name guys have gone TO the Pats and looked like superstars.

Cassel is just a prime example.........the Chiefs were dumb enough to think it was him and not the Pats system so they paid 63 million dollars for a guy who throws for less then 100 yards and 3 picks when the chips are down. He will be an anchor around the Chiefs neck for years.

Carolina is a great run team..........they were only 50 yards behind your dirty birds this year and in the top 1/3 of the league. Last 2 years they were #3 in the NFL in rushing.

What point were you trying to make?

Hey guy, I am a Cassell hater as well. I do not think he is very good at all right now.

What I laugh at is the fact you think Brady is a system QB, he will go down as a top 5 all time and you give credit to the system...Again, who is your favorite team...the Jets?

A GREAT run team does not loose 14 games, they ran the ball all the time because Jimmy Clausen is as bad as you claim Cassell to be. They ran on the Falcons, down by 14 and a 3rd and 19 with 1 win for the season...not great, but no other choice.

How can you not acknowledge the system they have in place makes normal to below average players look like superstars week after week. Brady is very good........no one could ever dispute that. Would he be the same guy we know today if he was drafted by the Bengals or Raiders?? Not a chance. There is a reason he didn't do much in college, there is a reason he went in the 6th round and there is a reason he sat the bench only to get in because of injury. There is also a reason why Matt Cassel and Brian Hoyer can step into his shoes on a minutes notice and look like Brady in another uniform.

I'm really not trying to knock him for it.........but to ignore that truth is very strange to me.

Dude........the last three years they have ranked 3rd, 3rd, and 13th in rushing in the league. They were a better running team without Clausen.

Right, they had Delhomme...have you seen him throw. Brady lost his job at Michigan because they brought in Drew Henson, a hotshot NYY prospect that fizzled out, who then went to the Cowboys and fizzled out. He was then mired behind an all pro in Bledsoe, not exactly a rags to riches story. I do not want to ride his Johnson any longer, I am not a fan so to speak and did not want to argue Brady's ability from the start...You still failed for the 5th time to list your NFL team...sure it's not the Jets. You don't happen to own a fireman's hat do you?
