I'm considering a purchase on a Mathews Z7 that is practially brand new. Here's my basic question:
If this bow was set up for a female (45-50lb / 25" draw), can it be adjusted to a higher lb pull and slightly longer draw length? I currently shoot a AR31 with a 56lb pull and 25.5" draw length, so it's close to what I currently use. I just didn't know if the Z7 has a lot of flexibility in regard to pound & length adjustments, or if this bow is limited to the shorter/lighter set up. The owner does know. He just took her to a bow shop and they set it up for them.
    Any help would be appreciated!

To change DL you need a different cam, they come in 1/2" increments up to 30". Limbs come in max 50, 60, 65 & 70# with an adjustment down 10#. You should be able to get 52-53# from the 50# limbs. You can buy both from any Mathews dealer or look for a used ones in some classifieds. A new cam is about $75-100 and limbs about $150-200. Both would have lifetime warranty to you. FWIW: most Mathews cams run a little long so you may want to check the DL before getting a new cam. I would make sure bow is in spec and cranked all the way up. I use an arrow marked to the berger hole of my current DL (ie your AR31) to compare it to a new bow.
