I have tried to get this to work. When I bought the bow I had a set of CX 250 maxima hunters and when I bought the new bow I bumped up the poundage to 70lbs the guy at the bow shop said those should work. Well when I started tunning it tear left, knock point ok. Tried turning the limbs down 3 rounds but still bad tear left. So I bought some CX 350 maxima hunters and still tear left I can get bullet holes on both arrows if I adjust the rest almost all the way to the right but then the shaft is pointing way to the right. I dont have a press but I read somewhere about adjusting the yolk. Has anyone else had the same problem? Oh yeah the bow has the mathews drownforce rest. I checked for clearance and vain hitting with some foot powder nothing. Not sure what is going on.
Mine does same thing. Never could get it perfect, guy at range shot it and it was perfect. It was me not the bow. I put a laser on it before i start tuning and everything was perfect but i kept tearing left. Let someone else shoot it, it might be you not the bow.
Its the downforce rest. I was messing with it again last night and I was online reading about proper form and it made me pay attention to what i was doing it started to look good I am going to mess with it some more this morning. If it tears left you can move the rest some to the right towards the riser, correct? Some of the stuff said move it to the left away from the riser. Not sure what is really right.
That's strange, I would assume the rest is too far left as is and that is why your tearing left. So moving right would redirect the arrow to a straight shot square to the bow. Are you hold the bow as loosely as possible? A tight grip can cause the your wrist to turn slightly left when the bow is released.
