Basic question, I know poundage can be adjusted on my Z7 by turning hex bolts on limbs, but can it be done without a bow press to first release pressure?

    Yes
The top and bottom bolts have to have the same amount of turns ... best to go to a shop if unsure.

I see it's your first post. Welcome.

You just turn them. To start, I would snug them down gently (max weight) and turn each one out the same amount. Mathews says 5 turns down from maximum is safe to shoot (will be about 10 pounds less).

Ask all the questions you want. Good people and info here. Good luck.

Welcome to the sight. Start with tightened bolts. But I agree with both if these guys. Same amount of turns. If you don't feel good about it go to a shop.
