I have a diamond dead eye I love the boy other than when I let off it feels like it’s going to take shoulder with it and it’s very loud compared to all my buddy’s bows what do you guys think

Bows have come a long way in terms of noise dampening. I would go shoot both and pick the one you like best. I would try other companies out too. In my opinion, I don't shoot short axle to axle so the triax isn't an option and I just wasn't a fan of the Hoyt

If you want a bow you can get repaired under warranty for the rest of your life - Mathews.

If you want a bow you can't get parts for in 4-5 years - Hoyt.

Can't imagine you're biased being from Wisconsin haha. But I have gotten parts for early 2000's Hoyts no problem so I wouldn't worry about it

For a bow you need a warranty on....Mathews....for a bow you never need parts for....Hoyt.
For a bunch of biased opinions just ask on a bow hunting forum.

    For a serious answer:
Both are great bows and companies, you'll have to shoot them and decide based on what fits YOU best. I'm a hoyt guy but I'd have no problems owning or shooting a Mathews.

Unless you need a new bow right now, I'd be inclined to wait until the new bows are released and see what is new. I bought a new one back in 2013 about this time of year and though I've been happy with mine, if I had it to do over again I'd have waited.

I owned a Mathews once then I got a Job :whip:I have a son that loves Mathews. I have another son that swears by Bowtech. They are both a great bow but they just don't fit me well. I am a Hoyt man. We do tease each other. Makes it fun.

It came down to these 2 bows this year for me too. I went with the Triax. Personally the draw cycle was just a touch smoother in the RX-1, but the Triax had no vibration. (at least IMO of the bows). It came down to price for me. The RX-1 didn't perform $500 better than the Triax so I put that money into the sight and rest.
