Well this is bitter sweet, I purchased a new Triax on Wednesday and noticed yesterday when I was at the range that the lower limb was chipped fairly deep on the edge where the limb seats inside the lower pocket. I brought it back and am waiting for the new limb to show up. I’m kind of weird when it comes to my bows being taken apart and this is the first bow I’ve ever had more than just a string replaced. Hopefully it’s a quick turn around with no issues. I will say that there was no hesitation from A1 or Mathews about getting the issue resolved.

Is Mathews covering the work? Glad you caught it sooner then later.

Yeah the damage occurred upon assembly. There was a a slight marking in the edge of the limb pocket from the limb being put into place. They believe the limb is just barley out of tolerance and chipped when being set into place. They didn’t have any time frame though as to when they will get the new limb. So now I’m just waiting. I’m not as concerned about the limb itself but the disassembly and reassembly keeping all other parts within spec and aligned properly.

That’s very easy to do because of how the new Mathews limbs and pockets fit together. You’ll see it on almost every bow that’s had a limb change. It’s merely cosmetic but I️ agree on getting it replaced since it’s a new bow. Mathews will take care of it!

I wouldn't be concerned, it's pretty easy to assemble/disassemble. There really aren't a lot of moving parts in there, it's not like opening up the bottom end on an engine or anything.

I'm not surprised to hear Mathews is taking care of you, they are pretty good about stuff like this. And if I were you I'd ask the shop if they have a loaner bow you can setup until the new one gets fixed up, they probably have something laying around that can at least keep you in the woods until the new limb gets there. Most good shops would do this for you I'd imagine.

Well I got my bow back a couple days ago and everything is 100%. First time ever needing warranty work and Mathews did not disappoint.
