    Hey guys,

A fellow here at work is thinking about purchasing a used Mathews Switchback. He asked if I knew much about them and I said not a whole lot but I knew the crew to ask.

Anyways, I was just hoping any of you that own them or have owned them could let me know your opinions on the bow (likes, dislikes, etc.) and whether you'd recommend them to someone.

    Thanks! :)

My huntin' buddy has a 07' Switchback and he loves it! It's decked out with Octane Stabilizer, Octane Quiver, Muzzy Zero Effect Arrow Rest, Flash Point sights, and slings Maxima shafts.

It's a fast bow, reliable. It's a bow you can't go wrong with, but it is a single cam bow. I personally don't like single cam bows, but to each his own! It's set a #70 and fairly quiet, good draw cycle, and 80% let off. It feels a tad heavy, but you can't have everything!

    I say go for it!

Pretty much what Bowtech said, Mathews bows are NICE. I personally don't really care for the whole "mathews hype" deal, but if a nice used one came alone i'd be all over it. Smooth draw cylce, quiet, and fast.

I bought a switchback when they first came out and still shoot it today. A very nice shooting, quiet bow in my opinion.

My 1st bow was an '05 SB. As far as compounds go, it's a VERY nice bow. In fact, if I ever went back to the wheels, I'd shoot that same bow and be happy as a lark. Plenty fast enough for what I hunt. Nice draw cycle (really nice).

Nothing bad to say about them. All positives.

It's my go-to bow. It finds the mark every time. I buy and sell alot of bows but that's one bow that's got a permanent place in my mancave.

great bow! hard to find at times cause people hold on to em' they like em' sooooo much. i love mine, partly because it was the only LD(long draw) that mathews had out for a while... very forgiving above avg speed and not too heavy (depends on what you put on it) new bows come out every yr but i stay with my switchback!

I'm still hunting with my 05 SB. I go to the shops and shoot alot of the new bows from all brands, still can't find a reason to upgrade (yet). For me, it's the perfect hunting bow.

I bought a Switchback in '05. Since then, I have tried out several different bows, and have yet to find one that in my opinion is better.

I love mine. Had it for three years and will probably have it for a long time too. Great bow.
