I am currently shooting a Mathews MQ1 that I bought this last fall. It is my first bow and I wanted something cheap to use til I made sure I was going to enjoy it. Well now I’m wanting to upgrade because I’m addicted and a local guy has two bows I’m going to look at and hopefully buy one of the two. He has a htr and a safari. The safari is quite a bit more expensive but it just looks like a awesome bow. Being that I’m new to archery what I am wanting to know is which bow would be the better bow. I know the safari would be faster but I’m not sure it would be as accurate as the htr. Both are 70lb draw weight and the htr is 30” draw length which is what I shoot and the safari is 29” so I would have to adjust that. I plan on shooting gold tip kinetic pierce platinums at 450 grains. How much faster will the safari shoot and will it be as accurate as the htr? Whichever bow I get I plan on shooting it for a long time and would like to do some traveling and hunt some bigger game eventually. Thanks in advance for all the help!
