Hey All, I have finally decided to buy my first brand new bow. I have narrowed the field down to the rezzen or alpha max. Do any of you guys have either of these? any pro/con's or comments?? thanks...

keep the hunt stories coming, I am out of the country working and will miss all of this season. So i am hunting via your stories

I've been shooting the Alphamax for about 5 months now and can't say enough good things about it. It's light, fast, quiet, smooth as silk......everything I've ever wanted in a bow. It's my second Hoyt, but before that I shot Mathews and couldn't say anything bad about it. It's more a matter of what feels best to you than what I like.

I own neither but have shot both. I'm a Bowtech shooter but if I weren't, I'd be shooting one of those two ;) IMO, you can't go wrong with either.

Both are great bows, go shoot them both and see which one you prefer. If you want my opinion, I would go with the Hoyt!

The Reezen is faster and Mathews is #1 so forget the Hoyt's they're just downgraded Mathews.

Like others have said shoot them both to see which feels better to you. Both are good choices though you can't go wrong.

How much did they pay you to say this? JK. I liked tha Hoyt better. Seemed smoother on the draw and just felt more like a quality built bow. There's no Reezen not to get the MAX. JMO....

If you don't get the AlphaMax, you simply aren't competent enough to hit the deer woods.

They always resort to defensive, personal attacks when they realize they've been tossed in over their heads, and beaten.

I have friends with both and they sound like these guys on here, back and forth all the time. they are obviously both great bows b/c they rave about them both.

I will say though, the pro at my local bow shop, who is a mathews dealer, said he liked the DXT better than the REEZEN. He doesn't like the new cam design on the Reezen.

I shoot ROSS b/c I don't like to argue all the time, NOBODY shoots ROSS!...LOL

Hell I would even pick the monster over the reezen! I have shot both, and the Alphamax wins hands down. I shot the Reezen side by side with the monster, and honestly think the reezen has MORE noise/hand shock. I wasn't impressed by the Reezen all that much and I LOVE how Mathews bows traditionally shoot.

I have thought VERY seriously on a half dozen occasions on trading in my Vectrix on a DXT, just can never justify the expense when my bow shoots great...
