I shoot a Mathews Reezen 6.5. I have been shooting it for a couple of years now and just recently it seemed to be making a loud noise when I shoot. My Mathews dealer doesnt seem to know whats causing the noise. ANY help or advise would be appreciated. Thanks!

With the bow in hand, shake it. Do you feel any rattling? Now hit the bow with the other hand a couple times, do you hear anything or feel anything move? If the bow is not dead in hand then when you shoot it it wont be either. Inspect the string stops, make sure the rubber piece is still there and that the string is making contact with it and not bypassing it. Make sure your peep, kisser, silencers are secure or tied good into place on the string.

start tapping on all parts of the bow and listen for something loose or something that rattles

Was bsing at a pro shop last week when a fella brought in a mathews making noise. Long story short, the store owner (not a Mathews dealer) seemed to think it was a cam bearing problem. If it is the cam it should be covered under the lifetime replacement warrantee.
