WHEW, Way to many opinions for me in this thread but I got to put my foot down about the ugly riser comments!! Personally I think the riser is awesome looking !! For me ugly riser would be the Hoyt carbine spyder! But its just my opinion LOL as is yours

I'm still reading from page 3 but this fits here. We hit two big storm jobs in late 2011 in Connecticut so I had extra money burning a hole in my pocket. I went by my favorite archery shop here in town. I shoot the Mathews Switchback XT and love it but I thought a new bow would be great. I asked a guy in there that I trust about a new bow. He asked if I was still shooting the XT and I confirmed that I was. He said that if I was looking just to throw away $1000 then it would be good to get a new bow but if I was looking for a better bow he said that the new Mathews that year weren't better than what I had. He said they were faster but not a better built bow. So, I still shoot my Switchback XT.
I agree, I really like the riser and overall design of my bow. My wife shoots the Jewel and I like it as well.

My only comment is that Fitz nailed it. Nobody actually knows the reason and there's 5 pages of speculation.
