My MR7 seems to have like a twang every time I shoot and I'm wondering if it's the dual limbs and maybe I need that rubber limb saver to go between them. I didn't notice till I shot with my buddy and his older Bear bow seemed much quieter.

    Anybody else have this issue?

I saw those. Do you get a twang from your bow?
I've even taken everything off the bow and it still twangs:(

I never did really notice it, or paid attention to it. I will have to double check when it's not raining. I'm actually getting my MR7 in tomorrow, so I'll let you know after I get done setting it up and shooting it over the weekend. I love my monsters..haha

I have noticed a lil bit of what you are talking about, but I just attribute this sound to the construction of the bow with my MR-7, bc I have shot next to other bow brands that almost make a SNAP when they are fired, but limb dampeners probably wouldn't hurt? I will pay more attention to the sound next time I shoot....as long as it isn't when at a deer, then I doubt I will be focused on the noise haha

Love my MR7. Traded up from the M6.

What are you doing with the MR5?

My buddy says it's really quiet but now he has me listening to this little twang:) Don't think it's a deal breaker but if I can quiet it I'd like to.

I'm still shooting it, but it'll be more as a backup bow incase something goes wrong. I was actually saving up for a Helim for those long hikes, but I got an awesome price on the MR7 at $450. Less than 20 shots, so I jumped on it ofcourse

I kind of wished I would of kept the M6 but I sold it to a friend and he loves it.

I'm hopping they come out with a Heli-Monster:). How cool would that be?

I have an MR7 and I have noticed the same thing when I shoot with other people. My brother also had an MR7 and his sounds the same. Added a set of bow jax and made it a little quieter. I would guess its just because of the design of the monster series bows.

You think it's the duel limbs or riser though?

I have a MR7 and it has a slight noise when i shoot , Never thought it was real loud or anything. But i thought its a speed bow and its common to have a little noise, If i wanted super super quiet i would of went with the z7 when buying. But ive heard alot louder bows than mine , so noise has never been a issue with me.

My 6 is pretty quite I think for a speed bow. I shot it at the dealer and everyone was amazed that it was so quite. It's way louder then the z7 n heli of course, but good over all. I'm sure anything you add to it will help, I thought about putting dampners but that bow is heavy enough as is. At almost 300fps, ill take my chances with the sound lol.

Ive had limb silencers from day one, so I couldnt tell you. I think my bow is pretty dang quiet though. I can tell a huge difference when you remove the string stop. I think the bow is light also, but a lighter version would of course be killer!

I really have no clue. My guess would be either the limbs or cams/string but I could be completely wrong. That's just what makes sense to me.

I posted this issue on the Mathews forum and ill see what they say.

As mentioned above I'd like not to add anymore weight to my bow if I can help it.

I don't think you mentioned if you have string silencers?
I have limb savers and a dead end string stop on my MR7...it's fairly quiet, but let those string silencers come off there and the difference is immediately noticable. Exactly the kind of "twang" you are describing.

I have the monkey tails and no kidding. One of those comes off and it's like night and day.

Each shot just twangs? Don't know how else to describe it but I think I'll order some limb savers and see if that helps.

How heavy are you're arrows? I shoot an M6 with a 482 grain arrow and no silencers. It's pretty quiet and still shoots 265 fps

I'm shooting the same. Not sure if my M6 had the same issue.
