Good morning everyone. I have read a ton on here, but this my first posting/thread of any sort. I am hunting for a new bow and have shot many different ones. Based on my price range right now, I have basically narrowed it down to two bows, Turbohawk and Hyperlite. Both felt great in my hand and shot incredibly well. What I'm asking is in regards to the Hyperlite. There doesn't seem to be much info out there regarding the Hyperlite, but I have read a ton about the Turbohawk. Both are $500 at my local shop and I'm just looking for more info before making my decision. Thank you in advance for your help.

Get close to the target, close your eyes and shoot them both ... which ever feels the smoothest buy it! You might also consider trade in value in a couple years ... that's why I shoot mathews ... holds value well.

Just got back from the pro shop with my new bow. I sort of have a perma-smile on right now. I'm incredibly happy with the decision I made and look forward to hunting with this bow for years to come. Here's what I ended up getting:

Hoyt Maxxis 31--I made the "mistake" of shooting this and the Z7 while I was mid-range shopping and couldn't get them out of my mind. When I went back today, those are the only two I shot over and over and over. I really couldn't make up my mind, but the fact that the Maxxis had been marked down to $650 really was the ultimate deciding factor. I could see myself shooting either bow, but that markdown sure is nice.

    To it, I added:
    Cobra TRL 0.029" 3-pin sight w/light
    QAD Ultra-Rest LD
    Axion 4" Stabilizer

Of course, there were other things like new release (Scott Mongoose), some arrows, broadheads, quiver, etc. that I needed to get as well. For a guy who has never bowhunted before, putting three shots in a row in the bullseye within 1/2" of each other at 20 yards once the bow was set up felt incredible. Yeah, I know it was only 20 yards, but I'm just starting out, so I've got to be proud of something. Here's hoping the accuracy remains the same or better once I'm in the field this season.

Congrats on the new bow! I'm jealous!!! Always great to have another HOYT shooter on the forums. If you start getting a bunch of messages from In Da Woods just know that he is a bowtech shooter and jealous of anyone with a HOYT so don't take it personally!
