    how many twists in the y end of cable does the factory put in. how many twists in the cable over all and how many twists to the string . bow is out of time and needs adjustment. cannot get any one to answer over on Mathews web sight so I thought I would try here. any help would be appreciated Robert .j

    Hey Robert,
    As a custom string builder I build with 1 twist every 1.5". So the string would have 62 twist in it. The cable would have 22 twist in it. The y legs would have 6 in the one opposite the cable glide and 8 in the one on the cable glide side. Chances after your string is twisted and your cable is twisted you will need to untwist the string and twist the cable to get the cable to show in the middle of the hole in the bottom cam. It should be like this when your done.

    thank you for your reply .I am trying to tune bow back into specs brace height at 7. axle to axle 29.7/8 cable in timing hole approx. 3/32 to 1/16 from being high towards string its supposed to be in the center. idler lean approx. 3/16 at nocking point

    AtA should be within a 1/4" above or below Axle to Axle. This is a standard in the bow industry. If I remember right, if the cable is in front of the hole and towards the riser. Your string is too short and cable is too long. Put 2 twists in the cable and take 2 out of the string. Check it and repeat with necessary twists. Once you have the timing right. Then you can set ATA and brace height.

    yes cable is in front of hole but cable sits high in front of hole towards string not riser. is string stretched bow was never tuned bought march of 2013 well over 500 shots out of it closer to 1000 I would say.

    My apologies, I meant to say toward the string. Not awake yet lol! If the string set is the original it doesn't surprise me on stretching.
